Find the Restroom to Suit Your Site

Whether you're operating a formal downtown park or a preserve with trails and wildlife-viewing areas, finding the right restroom structure does not need to be a difficult task. Premanufactured concrete restroom structures can be found to suit any site. What's more, they can be installed quickly and easily, and offer an aesthetically pleasing option.

Q: We're planning to include restrooms at the new park we're designing, but we don't want to spend a lot of time and money on design and construction. How can we add restrooms simply?

A: Many park budgets are stretched these days, but that doesn't mean you need to forgo your plans to include a pleasant restroom facility for visitors. You should consider premanufactured vault restroom structures. You'll be able to get a facility delivered to your site that is ready to be installed with minimal work required at the site. There will be no need to spend time and money on a lengthy design process. Simply perform the small amount of sitework needed, including excavating for a vault, and you're ready to go.

Reliable manufacturers can provide factory-trained installers who can have your restroom up and functional in just a day.

Q: We'd like to go with a premanufactured structure, but would prefer to include plumbing and electric in our restroom. Can this be done?

A: For many types of sites, a vault-style restroom is simply too rustic. If your site has electric and plumbing hookups already, it will be nearly as simple for you to add a premanufactured structure that also includes running water and lights. Economical flush facilities are available that can easily suit your needs.

Just like vault restrooms, these facilities are delivered to your site ready for installation and use. Your sitework is minimal, as well. You won't need to pour a foundation. Utility stubs on a gravel pad will do the trick. And, as with vault restrooms, most of these facilities can be installed and hooked up in less than a day.

Q: We are interested in premanufactured concrete restroom structures for our park, but we don't want a cookie-cutter option. Are there restrooms available that can be customized to fit in with our park and community aesthetic?

A: While many restroom structures have a cookie-cutter, utilitarian look, some manufacturers offer a variety of designs. You will be able to select from myriad colors and textures that can help match the structure to your site. Varying roof pitches, walls designed to look like wood or stone—all of these can be mixed and matched to get the structure you're looking for.

In addition to meeting your aesthetic needs, you'll want to look for a restroom structure that suits the unique conditions of your site, including the prevailing climate and the needs of your patrons.

Q: Our area sees a lot of severe weather. How can we be sure our restroom structure will be able to withstand snow loads in winter and strong storms in spring and summer?

A: Look for high-strength precast concrete roofs and walls that meet all of your local building codes. Structures with steel door frames and window frames cast into the concrete walls will ensure bolts and fasteners will not come loose or get ripped off.

The building's concrete panels should be welded together, which makes the structure practically as strong as a small bomb shelter, and at least able to withstand severe weather conditions, including heavy snows, winds, hurricanes, zone-4 seismic loads, flooding and mud.
