Sports Field Management Association Announces 2024 Board of Directors

The Sports Field Management Association (SFMA) – a non-profit, professional association for the nearly 2,500 men and women who manage sports fields worldwide – recently confirmed its 2024 Board of Directors.

Sun Roesslein, Certified Sports Field Manager (CSFM), assumed the role of President in 2023 and is now entering her second term. The association will maintain its course under the guidance of Laura Simmons, who is entering her second year as CEO. 

“I am honored to serve a second term as SFMA President alongside the dedicated members of the 2024 Board of Directors,” says Roesslein, SFMA President. “Together, we will work this year to further our Strategic Plan initiatives which involve positioning our members as the experts in field maintenance, cultivating inclusivity and diversity within our profession and spreading awareness to attract emerging professionals to the sports field management industry."

The Sports Field Management Association elections are conducted electronically by an independent audit form in November and the Board officially takes office during the Conference & Exhibition each January. Next year’s conference will be held in Palm Springs, CA, January 12-16, 2025. The following conference will be held in Fort Worth, TX in 2026.
