Nutrition & Diet Counseling Programs

While nutrition and diet counseling programs were not among the top major programs currently offered by respondents to the Industry Report survey, more than one in five said they do currently provide such programs.

Some 21.5 percent of respondents said they currently offer nutrition and diet counseling programs. Health and fitness clubs, as well as Ys, were the most likely to report that they currently provide this type of programming.

Looking forward, some 13.7 percent of those with plans to add more programs at their facilities over the next couple of years will be adding nutrition and diet counseling programs. Again, they were led by respondents from health and fitness clubs, as well as community sports and recreation centers.
