Goldfish Swim School Sponsors USA Swimming Foundation

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 10 people drown in the United States each day. The most at risk group for drownings are children of low-income families who have little access to formal swimming lessons. Goldfish Swim School Franchising and the USA Swimming Foundation, the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming, hope to change this trend with a new partnership to bring affordable swim lessons to those in need.

Learn-to-Swim & Water Safety Programs

Learn-to-Swim & Water Safety Programs

Among respondents to the Industry Report survey whose facilities currently include aquatic elements, a majority have provided water safety programming, learn-to-swim programs for adults and learn-to-swim programs for children for the past five years.

Similar numbers of aquatic respondents include water safety and learn-to-swim programs for adults at their facilities. In 2018, 60.5 percent of these respondents included these types of programs.

Many more respondents indicated that they provide learn-to-swim programs for children—82.6 percent. This is up from 77.6 percent in 2014.
