Improve the Air and Water Quality of Aquatic Facilities

  Originally Aired
Thursday, April 26, 2018

This webinar will provide detailed information on the causes of both poor air and water quality in and around swimming pools. Learn how UV systems can be added to existing pump rooms to remove the chloramines that cause bad air quality while also providing instant protection against chlorine-resistant micro-organisms including Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

The proven effectiveness of UV systems is such that NSF/ANSI 50 has added a new category specifically addressing how UV is an ideal secondary water disinfection system as well as being a physical water conditioning device that improves both water and air quality.

Recreational facilities with pools should participate in this webinar to gain a greater understanding about how chloramines are created and why they cause skin, eye and respiratory issues in aquatic facilities. Detailed explanations about the chemistry that creates chloramines will be covered as well while explaining how UV eliminates these chemical problems, eliminating the problem at the source. In addition, this webinar will explain how UV systems cut chlorine demand, while providing instant protection against chlorine resistant bacteria and pathogens such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium that lead to recreational water illness (RWI).
