Boost Your Water Treatment: NSF/ANSI 50 Update

  Thursday, April 26, 2018
2 p.m. EDT

UV systems have long been established as an excellent tool for improving water and air quality at aquatic facilities, particularly indoor pools. With the rise of chlorine-resistant pathogens, UV systems have become even more important. Now, a new category is being developed for the NSF/ANSI 50 standard, which will cover UV systems.

Since 1949, NSF has been working with industry stakeholders to improve product safety for pools, spas and recreational water. NSF/ANSI 50 covers the gamut, from pool pumps and strainers, to variable frequency drives, drains and grates. NSF/ANSI 50 also covers UV systems, and a new category for UV, called Supplementary Water Treatment System, is in the works.

In this webinar, attendees will learn about the new category for NSF/ANSI 50 and its implications for pools and aquatic facilities. Find out how UV systems can be added to existing systems. Learn how to use UV to improve your guest experience, get rid of chloramines and maintain clear water.
