Simplify Event Seating

Sometimes, you need to be able to provide seating in a variety of places throughout your community. When you want to do so quickly, transportable bleachers are an ideal solution. Even when there's a permanent grandstand located at your event, movable bleachers can be a great way to provide enough comfortable seating for everyone. What's more, temporary seating, such as transportable bleachers, can be a smart investment, paying for itself as you boost attendance, and eventually bring in revenues to help support your programs.

Q: Our main location has a beautiful grandstand, but we also manage events throughout our community. How can we provide seating quickly and easily at all these different locations?

A: You should consider portable bleacher units. You can find towable units that are easily moved from place to place, providing comfortable seating for all of your events.

In addition, while you already have a grandstand in place, the crowds attending your events can grow over time, surpassing your grandstand's seating capacity. In this case, you can use portable bleachers alongside your existing seating to create more places for fans and spectators to sit. This will save you from investing in rebuilding and replacing your grandstand, and you'll still have the benefit of owning seating that you can easily move to other events and locations.

Q: We host events at an indoor arena, as well as outdoor locations throughout the community. Can we also find a solution to provide more seating at indoor events?

A: For indoor events, look for smaller, highway-towable folding bleachers. At just 8.5 feet wide and 9 feet high, smaller bleachers can fit through many overhead entrance doors, and can easily be moved using a pickup or SUV. These smaller units seat up to 108 people, and are a perfect fit for indoor events. If you have taller overhead doors, you can even find larger units that will fit your event, seating up to 300 people.

Just ask your manufacturer about your various seating needs, including your event locations, the capacity you're looking for, as well as accessibility options, and they'll help you find the transportable bleacher that will meet your community's needs.

Q: We want to provide additional seating, but are concerned about budget constraints. How can we fit transportable bleachers into our tight budget?

A: Talk with other organizations in your community, and you might find simple solutions to help your bleachers pay for themselves. You may be able to share the cost with other organizations, such as a school district, a sports league or a park district.

Another way to help pay for your bleacher unit is to allow others to rent the unit when it's not in use. This provides a revenue stream that will continue to put dollars into your budget even after the bleachers are paid for.

Advertising is another way to help pay for the cost of your bleachers. Talk to local businesses about placing banner advertising on guardrails during events. They get a highly visible marketing campaign, and you pad your revenue stream.

Q: We're concerned about the extra personnel needed to set up seating every time we host an event. How can we streamline staffing costs?

A: Towable, folding bleachers are easy to set up. Simply place the bleacher unit where you want it, run the leveling jacks down and push a button to unfold the bleacher. A single person can have your seating set up and ready to go in less than 10 minutes.

You don't need complex storage solutions when the event is over, either. Because the bleachers are made of weather-resistant aluminum and hot dip galvanized steel, you can just park the bleachers outside until needed again.
