Just Keep Swimming…


There's no denying that the fallout from the economic downturn is continuing to settle heavily across many regions of the country. With unemployment still hovering above 9 percent, some would argue that the much-touted recovery is still on shaky ground. And among the many victims of the ongoing turmoil, many public pools have been shuttered.

Maybe you're worried about the state of your own aquatic facility's finances. Maybe you're concerned about whether you can keep people coming back for more. Or if you can even open the gates to let them in when they arrive.

Or maybe you're not worried at all. Maybe you, like many others, are just coasting along, doing the things that have worked for you in the past, sure that they'll continue to work for you in the future.

Well, that's just fine. You can tread water, and you'll likely keep your head above water. But if you want to grow your facility's influence, if you want to improve your facility's financial situation, if you want to ensure that your aquatic center does more than just get by—if you want to thrive in the 21st century, then you've got to swim!

That means using some muscle—mental and physical—to push yourself forward through the water. Sure, you can stick with what you know. Or you can learn something new, make a few changes and see if you can do even better.

That's what this handy supplement is aiming to help you with. We hope you'll find something on these pages that you can bring home to your own facility. Some platform to push off from into new waters as you keep swimming ahead.
