Splash Play Areas Are Top Planned Amenity

Splash Play Areas Are Top Planned Amenity

According to Recreation Management's 2020 State of the Industry Report, coming in June, more than one-quarter of those with plans to add amenities at their facilities are planning to add splash play areas. Some 22.1% of respondents said their facilities already include splash play, and 25.4% of those with plans for additional amenities said they would be adding splash play.

This is up from the past four years, when between one-fifth and one-quarter of respondents with plans for additional amenities were planning to add splash play. In 2019, the same number (22.1%) of respondents said they already had splash play areas, while 21.1% of those with plans for additional amenities said they would be adding splash play to their facilities.
