Forest Hill, MD – The American Sports Builders Association (ASBA), the national organization for design professionals, builders and suppliers of materials and equipment for athletic facilities, has announced an all-new educational program, open to any member of the sports facility industry. Post Tension Concrete Workshop, a two-day offering, will be presented in person from February 8-February 9, 2023 at the Doubletree Dallas Market Center in Dallas, Texas.
This two-day workshop, presented in cooperation with the Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI), is designed specifically for installation and inspection of single strand unbonded post-tensioning (PT) systems for residential and light commercial slabs-on-ground. It outlines the basic body of knowledge that should be possessed by all personnel involved in the installation and stressing of PT in these light foundation systems. Hands-on training is included.
The program requires the student to demonstrate a proficiency of the necessary skills for working with single strand unbonded post-tensioning systems for slab-on-ground construction. This program is worth 8 recertification points for ASBA Certified Builders and 12 points for licensed professional engineers.
This is a full certification workshop and participants will be eligible for certification depending on their final exam score and field work experience. More information is available on the PTI website on the information page for the Level 1&2 Slab-on-Ground Installer & Inspector area.
