According to Recreation Management’s Industry Report survey data from the past three years, the percentage of respondents overall who offer youth sports programming has dropped slightly, from 55.2% in 2020 to 50.3% in 2022.
The respondents most likely to provide youth sports programs were from Ys. Some 87.2% of Y respondents in 2022 said they currently provide youth sports programs at their facilities, down from 90.4% in 2021. They were followed by schools, with 82.5% of school respondents in 2022 indicating they currently provide youth sports programs (up from 77.9% in 2021), and parks (70.1% in 2022, down from 73% in 2021).
