Jennifer Mamlet selected to be JCC Association’s Executive Vice President

NEW YORK — On Thursday afternoon, JCC Association of North America announced the appointment of Jennifer Mamlet, who has served with distinction as its Chief Development Officer (CDO) since 2018, as Executive Vice President and second in command to its president and CEO, Doron Krakow.

“Like the conductor of a great symphony orchestra, she is tasked with bringing the best out of a talented team, helping them harmonize with one another, and drawing ever-greater attention and esteem to the work of our movement throughout the Jewish community,” said Doron Krakow. “Jen’s leadership of day-to-day strategy and field-facing operations will provide me with increasing opportunities to strengthen our external efforts across and beyond the JCC Movement—raising our profile as the most significant engine for building and strengthening Jewish community in North America.”

Over the past four years as chief development officer, Mamlet spearheaded an ambitious fundraising agenda predicated on a commitment to strategic collaborations with the continent’s most prominent Jewish philanthropists. Her successful tenure has generated a more than 10-fold increase in philanthropic investment in the JCC Movement from the year before her arrival. She has also played a pivotal role in the growing engagement of individual JCCs—inspiring faith and confidence and enabling this agency to quickly adapt to emerging local needs during the depths of the pandemic. Mamlet is a former executive director of the JCC of Central New Jersey in Scotch Plains, N.J., and previously was senior vice president of development at the Ad Council, a nonprofit organization.

Earlier in her career, Mamlet was director of SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) at the New York section of the American Camp Association. She holds a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in sociology and Spanish from Bucknell University. She and her family are members of the JCC of Central New Jersey. While the promotion is effective immediately, the transition into her new responsibilities will largely be deferred pending the arrival of her successor as CDO, JCC Association’s board of directors and its professional team are elated by this appointment and by the prospects of greater success and prosperity for the JCCs of North America by way of her exemplary leadership.
