The only type of programming offered by more health club respondents to the Industry Report survey in 2022 than in 2021 was functional fitness.
Some 73% of health club respondents offered functional fitness programs in 2021, and 84.4% offered functional fitness in 2022.
The most common types of fitness programs in 2022 included: fitness programs (provided by 90.6% of health club respondents, down from 94.6% in 2021), functional fitness programs (84.4%, up from 73%), group exercise programs (75%, down from 91.9%), personal training (75%, down from 89.2%), and mind-body balance programs like yoga and tai chi (59.4%, down from 89.2%).
