Nearly Half of Parks Work to Make Nature Connections

Nearly half (46.4%) of respondents working for parks and recreation departments and districts who responded to thegraph Industry Report survey said they are currently involved in initiatives to connect people with nature. This compares with just 21.6% of all other respondents combined.

Another 38.6% of park respondents are involved in resource conservation or green initiatives, compared with 19.5% of non-park respondents.

Other environmental initiatives measured by the report include: disaster recovery assistance (15.7% of park respondents were involved, compared with 5.7% of non-park respondents); wildfire conservation initiatives (8.4% of parks vs. 4.9% of non-parks); and climate resilience initiatives (8.4% of parks vs. 4.3% of non-parks.)
