While more than half (55.4%) of all respondents to the Industry Report survey said they currently have outdoor courts for
sports like tennis and basketball, parks lead the way, with 74.9% of respondents from park districts and departments indicating they currently include outdoor courts among their facilities.
They were followed by colleges and universities (69.1%) and schools and school districts (66.7%).
While only a little more than one-third (34.8%) of Y respondents said they currently include outdoor courts at their facilities, they were the most likely to indicate that they had plans to add them at their facilities. Some 17.4% of Y respondents with plans to make additions at their facilities said they would be adding outdoor sport courts. They were followed by respondents from health clubs (16.7%) and camps (13.2%).
