According to the 2022 State of the Industry Report, 70.5% of all respondents had plans for construction, whether they
were planning to build brand-new facilities, or make additions or renovations to their existing facilities. Camps were the most likely to have such plans, with 92.1% of camp respondents indicating they were planning construction. They were followed by parks (82%).
Most respondents with construction plans were planning renovations at their existing facilities. More than half (53.1%) of all respondents said they had plans for renovations. Camps (66.7%), Ys (66%) and parks (62.9%) were the most likely to be planning renovations.
Some 29.1% of respondents said they were planning additions at their existing facilities. They were led by respondents from camps (44.4%), followed by schools (33.3%) and parks (31.5%).
Finally, 29.5% of all respondents said they were planning to build new facilities. They were led by camps (44.4%), followed by parks (40.4%) and schools (24.4%).
