Camps, Parks Most Likely to Have Trails

While less than half (46.4%) of all respondents to the Industry Report survey in 2023 said they currently include walkinggraph and hiking trails at their facilities, more than seven out of 10 respondents from camps (76.4%) and parks (71.2%) said they currently include walking and hiking trails.

And while 12.9% of all respondents with plans to add features at their facilities said they would be adding walking and hiking trails, parks were the most likely to have such plans, with 18.5% of park respondents who are planning to make additions indicating that they would be adding walking and hiking trails. Interestingly, they were followed by respondents from health clubs. While they were the least likely to report that they currently have walking and hiking trails (just 9.7%), they were second most likely to be planning to add them (13.3%).
