YMCA of the USA (Y-USA), the national resource office for the 2,600 YMCAs across the country, is proud to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the YMCA National Gymnastics Championship, June 21-25 in Cincinnati, OH. This event hosts approximately 1,700 athletes from across the country, ranging in age from 6 years old to 20 years old.
The first YMCA National Gymnastics Championship took place in 1938. Each year, Y-USA selects a local YMCA to host the event – this year it is the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. In addition to the competition, the event features an opening ceremony, parade of athletes and a senior reception to honor all graduating high school seniors and scholarship recipients.
