More than three-quarters (76.6%) of all aquatic respondents to the Industry Report survey said they currently provide learn-to-swim programs for children at their facilities. More than half (52.9%) said they currently include swim lessons for adults in their program lineup.
Respondents from Ys were the most likely to offer both types of programs. Some 95.8% of Y respondents said they provide learn-to-swim for children, while 83.3% provide learn-to-swim for adults.
Parks were the next most likely to offer swim lessons for children, with 91.4% of park respondents with aquatics indicating they currently include them at their facilities. More than half (56.6%) also said they provide learn-to-swim programs for adults.
Health clubs were the next most likely to offer swim lessons for adults, with 78.3% of health club respondents with aquatics indicating they currently include them at their facilities. The majority (87%) of health club respondents with aquatics also said they provide learn-to-swim programs for children at their facilities.
