IHRSA Adds to Its Advocacy Team

IHRSA—the Health & Fitness Association, a global community of health and fitness industry leaders—has hired Charles Regnante as manager of government affairs.

In this role, Charles will play a crucial role in strengthening IHRSA’s advocacy initiatives.

Charles joins IHRSA with experience in state politics, advocacy technology, and fundraising. Most recently, he was the chief of staff to State Senator Karen Lewis Young (D-MD), where he managed legislation, external affairs, and constituent services for the office.

Prior to joining the state senate office, Charles served as an associate account executive at FiscalNote where he worked with trade associations to supercharge their advocacy efforts through government and advocacy software. He began his career as a fundraising and advocacy assistant at the Italian American Democratic Leadership Council.

He also brings fundraising expertise and a deep passion for the fitness industry to his role. In addition to being a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, Charles is also a Lionel University certified personal trainer.

"Charles brings a wealth of state policy, legislative tracking, and PAC fundraising experience to our team,” said IHRSA Vice President of Government Affairs Mike Goscinski. “His addition continues our steadfast commitment to transform IHRSA into an advocacy powerhouse and make sure that the health and fitness Industry has a strong voice in Washington, D.C., and throughout state capitals."
