According to the results of the 2023 Industry Report survey, fitness programs were the third most commonly offered program at facilities of all kinds. More than half (55.3%) of all respondents said they currently provide fitness programs. Nearly nine out of 10 (87.7%) health club respondents said they offered fitness programs, and 59.3% of park respondents did so.
Group fitness was a highly popular offering, with 53.5% of all respondents, 76.7% of health club respondents and 60.8% of park respondents providing this option for visitors.
Some 45.4% of all respondents said they currently provide mind-body/balance training programs like yoga, Pilates or tai chi, with 57.5% of health club respondents and 55.5% of park respondents offering these kinds of programs.
Functional fitness and personal training were less common among program offerings, provided by 32.1% and 30.1% of all respondents, respectively. Functional fitness programs were offered by 75.3% of health club respondents and 28.5% of park respondents. And personal training was offered by 75.3% of health club respondents and 23.7% of park respondents.
