ACE and TRX Offer Two Cutting-Edge Training Online Courses for Exercise Professionals

The American Council on Exercise (ACE) announced a partnership with TRX through the introduction of two online courses designed to empower exercise professionals with specialized TRX training. The TRX Suspension Training course and the TRX For Runners course provide cutting-edge education that equip professionals with new skills to enhance flexibility of program design using the suspension trainer for a variety of client goals.

Lauren Shroyer, M.S., ACE Vice President of Product Innovation, emphasized the importance of specialization, “As the fitness industry grows, exercise professionals can stand out by developing expertise in a variety of strength training tools. TRX Suspension Training techniques equip exercise professionals with a versatile tool that supports a wide range of client needs.”

The TRX Suspension TrainingTM Course arms exercise professionals with the skills to tailor workouts perfectly suited to every fitness level, enhancing safety and effectiveness. Developed and led by TRX experts, the comprehensive course educates exercise professionals with TRX foundational movements with technical expertise and boosts professionals’ communication skills to increase client engagement. Research on TRX Suspension Training TM suggests that this tool can be incorporated into programs to improve and maintain cardiorespiratory fitness as well as muscular fitness over only eight weeks.

The TRX For Runners Course equips exercise professionals with the essential skills to merge TRX into their training programs for runners of all abilities. By focusing on strength, stability, and mobility, professionals who complete this course will be able to help runners enhance their performance while minimizing injury risk.

"ACE shares our value of using science-backed training to empower individuals for a more active, healthy life,” said Brynne Elliott, VP Education. “Together, we’ll continue to provide exercise professionals and enthusiasts with evidence-based resources for improved health.”

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of personal trainers and other exercise professionals is projected to grow 14% from 2022 to 2032, much faster than the average for all occupations. Experts anticipate the growth is due to several factors such as increased interest in health and wellness and increased interest in low impact exercise modalities (e.g., yoga, Pilates, TRX).
