Innovations in Recirculation Systems for Splash Pads

Aquatic

Problem:
We’d love to install splash pads in several communities across our park system, but we want to ensure the water is treated and recirculated in order to reduce water usage as well as water-borne illnesses. Is there a quicker and simpler way to install a splash pad with a water recirculation system?

Solution:

Recent innovations have simplified and shortened installation of recirculation systems for splash pads from months to days. They do this by providing a prefabricated water recirculation system that removes the complexities of system engineering and system installation.

Other water recirculation systems require mechanical design, as well as on-site assembly. The newer prefabricated mechanical system is fully assembled before being delivered directly to your splash pad site in a single shipment. Manufacturing a prefabricated system simplifies and shortens installation, which will get your park up and running more quickly. Because the system is prefabricated, the manufacturer can ensure strict adherence to quality and functionality standards. Aquatic

All electrical systems and plumbing are dry tested before shipment, which eliminates call back compared to site-installed systems. The new prefabricated system includes an activation bollard, to ensure the park is not wasting water, chemicals and other resources by running when it’s not in use. It also includes a control panel, water distribution manifold, filtration system, chemical treatment, water reservoir tank and above-ground enclosure. UV disinfection is included, ensuring water receives secondary treatment in addition to chlorine, helping to prevent chlorine-resistant recreational water illnesses like cryptosporidium.

In addition to shortening the installation time required, this type of system is designed for long-term ease of use and will greatly simplify ongoing maintenance of your splash pad. The vandal-
resistant enclosure keeps mechanical equipment out of view of park visitors and safe from vandals, and is outfitted with interior lighting, electrical outlets, switches and a hose bibb, with a water tank illuminated via underwater lights. To help the enclosure blend in with your site, choose a complementary color, or you can use graphic technology to design a customized appearance.
