One in four (25%) health club respondents to the 2024 Industry Report survey said they had plans to add programs at their facilities over the next few years, with mind-body balance programs, such as yoga and tai chi, topping the list.
This is down from 31.1% in 2023, but still higher than the 21.9% who had plans to add programs at their facilities in 2022.
The most commonly planned program additions for health clubs in 2024 include mind-body balance programs such as yoga or tai chi, sport-specific training such as tennis lessons or golf instruction, and nutrition and diet counseling. Three out of 10 (30%) health club respondents who were planning to add programs at their facilities said they would be adding this type of programming. One in 10 (10%) respondents were planning to add group exercise programs at their facilities.
