The 2nd Annual SportsArt Campus Challenge is Live

SportsArt, the leader in sustainable fitness equipment for nearly 50 years, is once again inspiring the next generation of eco-leaders on college campuses with the 2nd Annual SportsArt Campus Challenge sweepstakes. The sweepstakes encourages students across the United States and most of Canada to live more sustainable lives. Launched January 1, the sweepstakes awards three winning college campus recreation centers with SportsArt ECO-POWR™ energy-generating cardio equipment. Winners of last year’s inaugural Campus Challenge Sweepstakes were Cleveland State University, the University of Michigan and Indiana University.

The SportsArt Campus Challenge invites college students to showcase their commitment to sustainability on campus by “accepting the challenge” and posting a video via either Instagram or TikTok that states how they plan to be more sustainable in their daily campus lives. Through this program, SportsArt aims to advance sustainability and inspire people to actively address environmental challenges. A pioneer in sustainable fitness, the SportsArt ECO-POWR™ line transforms human energy into clean, usable energy.

With three prize levels, one student will win their campus recreation center an ECO-POWR™ grand prize package worth $75,000 that includes five ECO-POWR™ treadmills. Second prize winners will receive three ECO-POWR™ steppers, while the third-place entry receives three ECO-POWR™ rowers. Additionally, cash prizes are awarded to the winning student entrants and donations are made to on-campus sustainability organizations.

“We are once again encouraging students to accept the challenge and inspire others to live more sustainably,” said Ruben Mejia, executive vice president, SportsArt Americas. “We all share this planet and we all can do something to be good stewards of it. So, as we continue to empower the sustainability movement and improve the Campus Challenge Sweepstakes, we’ve expanded to include college students in Canada, as well as adding the social media platform Instagram to accept entries.”

The 2nd Annual SportsArt Campus Challenge sweepstakes runs from January 1 to March 15, 2025, and the three winning college campuses will be announced at the 2025 National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) Conference in Orlando, Florida, from April 23rd through the 26th. “This year marks NIRSA’s 75th anniversary,” added Mejia. “So, in a nod to this venerable organization, we've raised the Campus Challenge grand prize package to $75,000.”

In addition to the equipment packages, each of the three winners will be awarded cash for themselves and for their chosen on-campus sustainability organizations. The Grand Prize winner will receive $3,000 for themselves and another $3,000 for their chosen student organization. Second place will be awarded $2,000 each and third place will receive $1,000 each.
