In Currituck County, N.C., the Historic Corolla Park is now home to a new playground with custom-designed equipment that highlights the waterfowl and outdoor heritage of the area.
Corolla Park is a 39-acre site that is home to big attractions, including the Whalehead, the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, and the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education. In addition to these popular attractions, the park offers plenty of opportunities for exploring and enjoying the outdoors, from kayaking to hiking, and more.
The playground was built nearby the historic Whalehead Club, and captures the waterfowl history of the area. A large Canada goose play structure is a playground highlight, as well as a slide platform designed to resemble a duck blind.
