Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 USA Swimming Foundation Learn-to-Swim Grants. Lesson providers can apply for the grants through Nov. 15, 2025.
The USA Swimming Foundation, the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming, has awarded grants since 2007 to help fund youth learn-to-swim programs across the county and recently expanded to include funding for adult learn-to-swim programs. In 2025, the USA Swimming Foundation awarded $865,000 to 114 youth and adult providers across 34 states, adding to its total of over $7 million in funding. Funding is made available for programs directly benefiting children and adults who would not otherwise have the opportunity to learn to swim.
To be considered for the 2026 Youth Learn-to-Swim Grant, applicants must be an approved USA Swimming swim lesson provider in good standing, and provide a detailed project budget and program narrative within the grant application.
To be considered for the 2026 Adult Learn-to-Swim Grant, applicants must register as a U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) club or workout group, provide opportunities for eligible adults to participate in USMS programs, and present a detailed project budget and program narrative within the grant application.
