The Health & Fitness Association will induct Annbeth Eschbach, co-founder and CEO of ResetOne, into the Health & Fitness Hall of Fame at a March 15 ceremony in San Diego prior to The HFA Show.
Eschbach began her career in the fitness industry 40 years ago, contributing to some of its most significant transformations.
She is being honored for her entrepreneurship; pioneering business models in consumer health, fitness and well-being; and historic leadership as the first female president of the HFA Board of Directors.
Eschbach served on the association's board (at that time known as IHRSA) from 1998-2002, and during that time, her business acumen and leadership skills led to her election as president.
Eschbach will be inducted in the second class of the HFA Hall of Fame with fitness evangelists Jack and Elaine LaLanne, Les Mills Founder Phillip Mills, Fitness Formula Clubs Founder and CEO Gale Landers, and Gainesville Health & Fitness Center Founder and CEO Joe Cirulli. Two additional inductees will be announced next week to round out the class.
“Being inducted into the HFA Hall of Fame is a profound honor,” Eschbach said. “It also honors the transformative work of the many people who have been beside me through my career; it makes me reflect on the lives changed, the barriers broken, and the future we continue to build in this industry. I’m proud to be recognized alongside so many pioneers and grateful for the opportunity to keep inspiring healthier, stronger humans.”
From 1990-2002, Eschbach worked for Wellbridge, which at that time was the third largest spa and club operator with 50 locations under management. For part of that time she served as senior vice president of marketing and spa development where she directed the branding, marketing, and newly acquired property turnaround plans. She served four years as president and COO of Cardio Fitness Centers, a 10-unit brand Wellbridge managed for Weight Watchers International.
In 2003, Eschbach founded Exhale, a national well-being brand that revolutionized the spa and fitness industry. As CEO, she built the brand and business from vapor and vision to 30 locations, a dozen proprietary boutique fitness classes, spa and well-being programs, and 1,500 associates aligned around the company mission.
In 2017, Eschbach sold the business to Hyatt Hotels, and continued to lead the organization under new ownership until 2019 when she was recruited to build a new start-up in the healthcare space: Kindbody, a leading national fertility clinic network and benefits provider for employers.
At Kindbody, Eschbach served as president and then CEO, where she helped scale the brand from its start as a single pop-up fertility testing truck to 37 owned and operated clinics, and 121 employers under Kindbody's benefit management.
Today, she leads ResetOne, a longevity-focused health company on a mission to help people age younger, stronger, sharper, and healthier through personalized, science-backed care.
“During much of the last 40 years, Annbeth has transformed our industry through visionary leadership, pioneering marketing and business models, and by building brands that bridged fitness, spa, hospitality, and now longevity,” said HFA President and CEO Liz Clark. “During her career, she has demonstrated remarkable dedication, creativity, and a willingness to redefine what wellness can be. Her election as the first female president of the HFA board and her steady, influential leadership make her not just deserving of this honor but a model for the next generation of fitness and wellness leaders.”
The HFA Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose contributions have elevated the profiles of the association and industry, set new standards for excellence in leadership, and supported the industry’s commitment to improved physical and mental health for all.
