According to the 2026 Aquatic Trends Report, 85.8% of respondents said that a lifeguard was watching their aquatic facility at all
times. Another 6.7% said their pools were guarded some of the time, and 7.4% said their aquatic facilities did not have lifeguards.
Ys were the most likely to have lifeguards at all times. In fact, 100% of Ys said that their aquatic facilities were always covered by a lifeguard. They were followed by parks (94.2%).
