Respondents to the 2025 Industry Report survey from camps and from colleges were the most likely to report that they currently
have a climbing wall at their facilities. One-third (33.3%) of camp respondents and 29.8% of college respondents said they currently have a climbing wall. They were followed by Ys, where 24.7% of respondents said they currently have a climbing wall. This compares with 14.5% of all respondents to the Industry Report survey.
Camps also lead the way when it comes to challenge and ropes courses, with 37.9% indicating that they currently have a challenge or ropes course. They were followed by Ys (17.9%) and colleges (17.4%).
Looking forward, 8.6% of respondents who are planning to add features at their facilities said they would add climbing walls, while 6.2% plan to add challenge courses or ropes courses. Camps were the most likely to be planning to add climbing walls, with 14.7% indicating that they had such plans.
