Teen programming was the most commonly planned program addition for facilities responding to the 2026 Industry Report survey.
Some 23.4% of respondents who had plans to add programs at their facilities said they would add teen programming.
Respondents from Ys, camps and rec centers were the most likely to report that they currently host teen programs. Some 68.1% of Y respondents, 54.9% of camp respondents and 51.3% of rec center respondents said they have teen programming at their facilities. This compares with 37.2% of all respondents to the survey.
Looking forward, respondents from parks were the most likely to be planning to add teen programming at their facilities. Some 30.5% of park respondents with plans to add any programming said they would add teen programs at their facilities. They were followed by health clubs (25%) and Ys (24.2%).
