More than half (51.6%) of respondents to Recreation Management’s 2026 Industry Report survey said that they currently host youth
sports programming at their facilities. They were led by respondents from Ys, 74.7% of whom currently provide youth sports programs. More than half of respondents from parks (69%), rec centers (65.4%) and schools (56.3%) also host youth sports programs.
Looking forward, nearly one-fifth (19.1%) of those who are planning to expand their program lineup over the next few years said they would be adding youth sports programs. They were led by respondents from health clubs (31.3%), Ys (24.2%) and camps (20%).
