The Association of Aquatic Professionals has officially launched a new podcast, “Discussions From the Deep End: A Podcast for Aquatic Professionals by Aquatic Professionals.” The podcast aims to elevate the voices, ideas and real-world experiences of aquatic professionals working across the industry. It’s designed for those who manage facilities, lead teams or work on the water, bringing practical insights and meaningful conversations about the daily work of aquatics.
Episodes will feature conversational interviews with industry leaders, innovators and peers working in aquatics, exploring a range of topics including leadership development, risk management, staff training, programming, and community impact.
“I’m really passionate about aquatics and about helping share the incredible stories, experiences and perspectives of the professionals in this field,” said podcast co-host Daniel Peters, an aquatic professional himself. “What excites me most about co-hosting is being able to serve as both a voice and a bridge between the speakers and the audience, helping those conversations land in a way that feels engaging, meaningful and connected.”
AOAP Assistant Director Kirsten Barnes, who shares co-hosting duties with Peters, added, “The podcast also reflects AOAP’s broader mission to support safer, stronger aquatic programs through education, collaboration and professional growth.”
The first episode dropped on May 6, and an introductory episode is available as well, wherever you get your podcasts.
AOAP CEO and Executive Director Juliene Hefter said, “This podcast is more than just a new offering. It’s a reflection of the collective knowledge, passion and dedication of the aquatic professional community.”
