More than half (53%) of aquatic respondents to Recreation Management’s Industry Report survey said that they currently offer water
safety programming at their facilities, and some 14.9% of those who plan to expand their programming options in the coming years said they will add water safety programs.
Respondents from Ys were by far the most likely to host water safety programs, with an overwhelming majority—84.5%—indicating that they host this type of aquatic program. They were followed by parks (55.3%) and rec centers (55%). Half of school respondents (50%) also said they have water safety programs.
