Camps Lead on Nature Connection, Parks on Conservation

Every year we ask respondents to the Industry Report survey about their involvement in a variety of initiatives, from wellness and outreach to underserved populations to programs to reduce hunger or help with disaster recovery. In 2026, 27.1% of all respondentsgraph were involved in initiatives to foster a connection between people and nature, while 25.1% were involved in resource conservation or green initiatives.

Respondents from camps were the most likely to be involved in nature connection initiatives, with more than half (56%) indicating they were involved in this kind of outreach. They were followed by parks (36.5%), rec centers (23.9%) and Ys (22.2%).
