Every age group covered by the 2026 Aquatic Trends survey saw more opportunity for swim lessons in 2025 than in previous years. 
The largest number of swim-lesson-provider respondents to the survey—98.3%—said they provided swim lessons for children, up from 97.4% in 2024, and up from 95.3% in 2019, when the survey was launched.
The next most common swim lesson audience was for parent-and-child classes, such as “Mommy & Me” swim lessons. Some 78.5% of respondents said they reached this audience with learn-to-swim programming, up from 67.6% in 2024.
Nearly three-quarters (73.8%) of swim lesson providers who responded to the survey said that they provided lessons for adults, up from 64.1% in 2024.
And finally, 41.3% of respondents offered learn-to-swim programs for seniors, up from 35.6%
