Fewer respondents in 2022 said that they were involved in inclusion initiatives for those with physical disabilities or developmental disabilities, compared with 2020.
In 2022, 39.7% of all respondents said they currently are involved in inclusion initiatives for those with physical disabilities, while 35.4% were involved in inclusion initiatives for those with developmental disabilities. This is down from 2020, when 49.3% of all respondents were involved in initiatives for those with physical disabilities and 42.7% were involved in programs for those with developmental disabilities.
Respondents from parks were more likely than the average respondent to report their involvement with such initiatives, though their involvement also fell from 2020 to 2022. In 2020, 56.6% of park respondents were involved in programs for those with physical disabilities, and 50.1% were involved in programs for those with developmental disabilities. Those numbers fell to 48.8% and 43.4%, respectively, in 2022.
