If you’ve been reading Recreation Management for a while, you’re likely familiar with our annual research reports on the aquatics industry (the Aquatic Trends Report, which ran last month in the January issue), the recreation, sports, and fitness industry (seen every June in our State of the Industry Report), and the salary survey (which follows in the July issue).
As I write this, we’ve just launched the survey on which we base the entire June issue, as well as the salary information contained in the July issue. If you’ve already filled it out, thank you! But if you haven’t, I’m here to ask for a little bit of your time.
This year will mark our 19th year of completing this annual survey and reporting on the results, and we wouldn’t be able to bring you that important information without the input of hundreds of professionals working in recreation, sports, fitness, and aquatic facilities across the country—professionals like you. While the data is reported in aggregate, every single participant is important. If you’re working with a park district or department, a school or school district, a college or university, a health club, a YMCA or similar type of facility, a camp, or a rec center, your voice will lend more weight to that segment of the industry, helping us offer even more detailed information from those types of facilities.
