New ACE Education Program Helps Fitness Pros Support Brain Health

Significant progress is being made when it comes to research into Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, and now, health and exercise professionals can benefit from a new educational offering from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) that aims to empower them to support folks who want to maximize their cognitive fitness and prevent cognitive decline, as well as individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia through safe and effective physical activity programming.

Community Grants Bring Art to California Parks

More than $2.6 million in community grants to organizations statewide were recently awarded by California State Parks, the California Arts Council and Parks California as part of their Arts in California Parks partnership.

The latest Fitness Industry Traffic (FIT) Tracker from the Health & Fitness Association (HFA) shows visits to U.S. commercial fitness facilities continued to climb in the third quarter of 2025. 

2024-25 Sees Record Number of NCAA Athletes

Some 554,298 student athletes participated in NCAA championship sports in 2024-25, an all-time high according to the NCAA Sports Sponsorship and Participation Rates Report. This represents an increase of 15,368 from the 2023-24 academic year.
